Hire a Professional Guide
Why hire a Professional Guide to travel with you?
Traveling in an unknown country can be daunting at times, not to mention intimidating and should the open vehicle not be an option for you, we recommend hiring a Professional Guide to travel with you in the comfort of your own vehicle during your excursions in the Kruger. As a result, this will give you extra peace of mind and assurance. This will also ensure you get the most out of your Kruger visit in South Africa.

A breakdown of how the day will work with a guide traveling with you
You will meet the guide at one of the 5 official entrance gates to Kruger in the South of the Park.
The guide will escort you to the gate office and assist you with the daily conservation fee payments as well as obtaining a permit.
A short briefing from the guide will be done before the day starts.
You will start with the first session of safari (the time you will be entering the Park will depend on how busy the gate is).
A breakfast stop of minimum 30 min will be between approx. 08:00am and 09:00am at one of the picnic spots or rest camps in Kruger.
After the stop, you will have the second safari session.
A lunch stop of minimum 45 min will be between approx. 11:00am – 12:00 at one of the picnic spots or rest camps in Kruger.
This is when the third safari session starts.
Dropping off the guide at approx. 14:00 depending on the season and what time you meet the guide in the morning.
This is when you can leave the Park or if you feel confident enough and the safari bug has bitten, you can go back into the Park and enjoy another few hours of safari on your own (gates only close between 17:30 and 18:00 depending on the season).
